Dan joined Glades Crop Care as our Farm Operations Manager at the Kitching Creek Research Facility. Before moving to sunny Florida, Dan owned and operated a 400-acre dairy and crop operation in upstate New York. His experience handling all facets of a farming operation including horticulture and maintenance make Dan perfectly suited for his responsibilities at KC. Dan was also responsible for designing, writing and publishing an Ag industry newsletter distributed to over 1000 farmers in upstate New York.
On the non-farming side, in 1996 he founded Wheels of Love, a non-profit organization which collects and distributes humanitarian aid for Central American relief and in 1983, he helped create a Soup Kitchen/Hospitality Center in upstate New York which has been providing meals for local indigent families and individuals for the past 18 years. The father of five grown children, Dan enjoys reading, writing, travel, and spending time with Leo, his dog, named after his favorite author, Leo Tolstoy. Dan also restores horse-drawn carriages.
