Emily Shepard

Emily came to Glades Crop Care in 1996. She holds a B.S. in Horticulture and a M.Ed. in Agricultural Education from Ohio State University. She is a Principal Investigator at GCC's Kitchen Creek Research Facility and specializes in efficacy and residue trials on crops such as tomatoes, radishes, carrots, potatoes, cucurbits, peppers and leaf. She is presently guiding the Company's application of electronic data collection and reporting for residue trials. She holds a Florida Commercial Applicator Restricted Use Pesticide License with Crop Advisor Exemption.

Emily has been instrumental in preparing a highly effective SOP-GLP manual of operations and performance standards for use at the Kitching Creek Farm facility. Prior to joining Glades Crop Care, Emily worked as a horticulturist and research associate in Ohio, Michigan and Florida, as well as gaining international horticultural experience in Europe (Northern France- cherries, strawberries, apple trees; Netherlands - apples trees and blueberries; Germany - German Federal Research Station for wine issues; and Switzerland - at the Zulauf Nursery in fruit trees and at the Swiss Federal Research Station). She is a member of the ASHS and the NAICC and lives with her family in Eastern Florida.
