Glades Crop Care, Inc. (GCC) provides its grower clients with highly trained and professional field crop consultants to monitor crops on a regular basis. Our personnel has expertise with a wide variety of crops: sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, citrus, strawberries, rice, field corn and many other fresh market crops. The goal of our scouting service is to give the grower the most useful and accurate assessment of insects, disease and fertility status of the crops.
Our crop consultants interpret the assessments and recommend pesticide prescriptions when necessary and management practices. GCC has received national recognition for its use of innovative Integrated Pest Management practices, for example, Resistance Management Strategies and Preventative Practices. GCC serves as a main information source to the grower and provides a state-of-the-art technical service necessary to investigate new and complex pest, disease and other crop problems. Through development of our Thrips Identification Software and application of WPS Spray Tracking, Glades Crop Care provides profit making advances for our clients.
GCC maintains a broad local, national and international network of professionals in agricultural research and crop consulting. They are leaders and directors of the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC) and other national and state organizations. Our staff cooperates and functions as co-principal investigators with researchers in state, federal and private sectors to help solve emerging problems and develop new and improved field and crop practices.
